Trat

Trat

Trat is one of the major towns on the road from Bangkok to the Cambodian border. Along this route are rubber forests, rice fields and marshes. Trat is located 400 km from Bangkok. On the way here, Wat Bang Korn is a Chinese temple and the Water World is a place to nurture and preserve dolphins. As a gem trading center, Trat is also a port for departure to the island. About 20 km from the town is Ko Chang Island, a third largest island of Thailand, famous for its wild boar and Mai Yom waterfall. The island has a width of 8 km and a length of 20 km. Off the north of the island, there are huge sharks. In addition, there are Ko Mak and Ko Kut islands which are snorkeling and diving spots with clear and safe water.
